Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 02 (ANI): A day after the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh (MP) announced that it was not compulsory to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ in the secretariat on the first day of every month, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers held protest outside the Secretariat against newly elected MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath in Bhopal today. The recently elected Congress government in the state also asserted that singing ‘Vande Mataram’ for a day was not a barometer of patriotism. Yesterday, former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan too slammed Congress for ending 14-year-old tradition. He even said that all BJP MLAs will sing the national song on January 7.
