Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 02 (ANI): Villagers blocked National Highway and pelted stones on a bus after a youth died allegedly in police custody on January 1 in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur. Deceased was e-rickshaw puller. Villagers demanded action against police and compensation. The incident took place when the police threatened him of chalan and he refused to give them money. He was then taken to police station and was beaten up brutally. He died while he was taken to hospital. Police investigation is underway.
