This week’s episode focuses at the unprecedented and rapidly evolving developments in Afghan politics; The insurgents’ representatives and influential leaders of Afghanistan met in Russian capital Moscow to discuss the ways and options to bring sustainable peace in the war-ravaged country, Scholars, former diplomats, human rights activists and journalists from across the globe gathered in Paris to discuss the impacts of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor; the Pakistan administration has denied adequate healthcare to Baba Jan, a political prisoner and a heart patient languishing in prison for more than eight years, the supporters and followers, who have grown furious over these developments, are out on the streets demanding his immediate transfer to a better medical facility, elsewhere in Pakistan. They are also demanding the construction of a cardiac hospital in the region; UNHCR’s special envoy and Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie took a note of the rapidly deteriorating situation in the refugee camps; One of the biggest cultural street festivals of the country was held in showbiz capital Mumbai. Popularly known as Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, this multi-cultural event drew out Mumbaikars from different parts of the city to enjoy art installations, performances and heritage walks.
