This week’s episode focuses at the overwhelming global support India received in the aftermath of dastardly Pulwama attacks that killed more than 40 Indian paramilitary personnel. International community has not just released statements expressing its solidarity with the country but has also taken up the task of diplomatically isolating Pakistan. Islamabad’s continuous support to terrorism has drawn fierce criticism from Baloch and Kashmiri activists as well who say that the country has been indoctrinating youth in the name of religion and using them in waging a proxy war against India. The accelerating peace process in Afghanistan came to a halt as the next scheduled meeting of Taliban leaders in Pakistan was cancelled following Kabul’s complaint to United Nations. A massive blaze killed around 70 people in old Dhaka city of Bangladesh. The blaze that started with a four-storey building engulfed nearby buildings too in the Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka. A seed sowing festival was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Naga tribes of Manipur. Popularly known Lui Ngai ni, the festival marks the start of the year for Nagas and is a special occasion to honor and appease the Gods of crop and to pray for the well being of the people.
