Journalists hold torch rally against alleged manhandling of journo by BJP workers in Raipur

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Feb 04 (ANI): Journalists held torch rally today against manhandling of a journalist by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Raipur on February 2. A journalist of a Raipur-based website was allegedly beaten up by BJP functionaries while he was recording a meeting of the party’s district-level meeting. Based on the complaint by journalist, a case has been registered against four persons, including BJP Raipur district president Rajeev Agrawal. The accused were booked under section 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
