Seismologists baffled by mysterious seismic waves in Maharashtra

Palghar (Maharashtra), Feb 02 (ANI): Scientists at National Center for Seismology are confused by mysterious seismic ripples that have been recorded by the Permanent Seismological Observatory in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. More than 10 earthquakes of magnitude more than 3 have occurred in the Talsari Taluka and the largest magnitude earthquake of 4.1 was recorded today preceded by three earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and above on the same day. A 2-year-old girl died in an earthquake when three earthquakes measuring 4.1, 3.6 and 3.5 on the Richter scale hit the district today at 2:06 pm, 3:53 pm and 4:57 pm respectively.
