Three-day Fish fest commences in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana), Feb 02 (ANI): The National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) organised a fish festival in Hyderabad to popularise consumption of fish. Many varieties of fishes were displayed in fish festival. This festival is organised at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad from February 1-3, 2019. This festival will feature around 15 stalls offering a variety of fish-related cuisines. Visitors also learned practices that should be adopted while cooking fish and the ways to make it much tastier and healthier. Speaking to ANI, Executive Director of National Fisheries Development Board G Rathinraj said, “We are organising series of fish festivals in different parts of India to encourage fish consumption. Because consuming fish is healthy. From Hyderabad, different restaurants and fisheries federation have installed their stalls here. They are displaying and selling different recipes of fish and fishery products including prawns and sea fishes also. We are expecting five to ten thousand people every day to come here and taste the different recipes of fish and stay healthy.” Stall owner Siraj Ahmed said, “We are from oceans basket exclusive fish restaurant in Hyderabad and we are displaying and selling 70 types of fish recipes including Lobsters, Crabs, Squids and sea food.”
