Birmingham, United Kingdom, June 24, 2019: – A number of Kashmiri political activists and leaders from across Europe and the United Kingdom recently gathered in Birmingham for the ‘International Kashmir conference on Peace, Human Rights and Counter Terrorism.’ The discussions in the conference primarily focused at the appalling living standards of locals in the illegally occupied regions of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan and deliberations were made to find an immediate solution to the prevailing crisis. The talks also highlighted the suppressive designs of Pakistan that were aimed at further subjugating the locals while plundering their resources with impunity. Activists highlighted that the territory of PoK was being exploited by Pakistan through its multi-pronged designs. While on one side, it was regularly plundering Kashmir’s natural resources; on other, it was using the land to carry out its terror activities.
