Delhi Police’s 15-day self defense training session for women and children concludes

New Delhi, 10 Sep, (ANI): Under the SASHAKTI scheme of Special Police Unit for Women and Children of Delhi Police 15-day training session on self defence techniques concluded. 1500 girl students of Govt Girls Senior Secondary School Dilshad Garden participated in the session. Special feature of this programme was 57 specially-abled girl students were also imparted training. They participated in the session with full enthusiasm. On this occasion, Nuzhat Hassan Spl CP of Delhi Police motivated the participants to boost up their morale. Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) has already been awarded by citation and registered an entry in Limca Book of World Records for imparting self defense training to maximum 2,08,125 girls participants for the year 2017. Till now Total 6501 sessions have been organized in which 12,75,282 girls and women participants have been benefited in Delhi in self defence techniques. A street play on the theme of “Crime against women and how to protect themselves in any untoward situations” was also performed on this occasion.
