OIC has no ‘locus standi’ to comment on our internal affairs: India at UNHRC

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 10 (ANI): India on Sep 10 cleared that the Organisation Islamic Cooperation, of which Pakistan continuously seeks support for its anti-India agenda, has “no locus standi to comment on the internal affairs of India. Calling out Pakistan’s double standards on human rights violations and its provoking statements on Jammu and Kashmir, India on Sep 10 at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva said that Pakistan’s “gory record” on human rights abuse against religious and ethnic minorities “speaks for itself”. “Pakistan’s gory record speaks for itself. This rhetoric will not distract international attention from Pakistan’s persecution & elimination of religious and ethnic minorities – be it the Christians, Sikhs, Shias, Ahmadiyas and Hindus,” said Vimarsh Aryan, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India at UN. “We are not surprised at Pakistan’s hysterical statements with false narratives aimed to politicise & polarise this forum. Pak realises that our decision cuts away ground from under its feet by creating obstacles in its continuing sponsorship of cross-border terrorism,” Aryan added.
