PoK, Oct 28, 2019: Unprecedented scenes have erupted across Pakistan occupied Kashmir as thousands of local residents have taken to the streets, demanding independence. Whether it is Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad or any other far-flung area, people from all walks of life are resisting the decades-old misrule of Islamabad. They want liberty of all forms; civil, political as well as geographical. While Pakistan has suppressed their civil and political rights for seven decades, it continues to occupy and exploit the region for its materialistic needs. Led by local parties, the movement is gathering momentum with every rising sun. Even the conventional Pakistani methods of suppressing dissent have been proved ineffective this time.
