Bodh Gaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday inaugurated the new permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya, marking a significant milestone in the development of higher education and management studies in Bihar.
The state-of-the-art campus, spread over 60,000 square meters, boasts world-class facilities and infrastructure. It has been built at an estimated cost of over ₹400 crores, providing students with a conducive learning environment.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening educational institutions across India. He highlighted that the new IIM Bodh Gaya campus is expected to play a pivotal role in transforming Bihar into a major hub for management education, attracting students from across the country and abroad.

IIM Bodh Gaya, established in 2015, has been operating from a temporary campus until now. The new campus includes modern classrooms, lecture halls, a library, auditorium, residential quarters for students and faculty, and sports facilities. It is designed to accommodate a growing student body and enable the institute to expand its academic programs and research activities.
The event was also graced by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and other dignitaries.
