Modi to launch new forum

PATNA: Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi will launch the FriendsofBihar Platform and Bihar Vision 2015 Forum on the premises of Asian Development Research Institute ( ADRI) here on Friday evening.

FriendsofBihar member Ghanshyam Tiwari from Harvard University said, “We hope that the development loving population of Bihar will enthusiastically come forward to participate on this platform and contribute good ideas and constructive feedback for developing the state.”

Calling the FriendsofBihar Platform an “unprecedented and unique movement”, Tiwari said, “This is a people-led platform where champions of Bihar’s development from across the world can join, collaborate and co-lead.” The movement’s proponents have used the IT sector, and developed a site for this platform www.FriendsofBihar.org.

The brains that have gone in devising the platform to launch the “people-led movement” hail from Harvard University, North-western University, University of Chicago, Houston University, Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and National Institute of Design, among others.

Tiwari said that the platform has been dedicated to the people of the state on the request of these students, which would facilitate healthy discussion to generate inputs and ideas for the development of the state.
