Professor Matuknath , who is on fast unto Death at Kargil Chowk from today gained support from all strata of the state. Students, Artists, Politicians and common people flocked at the site to extend support to Love Guru and his cause.He was accompanied by his Lover Julie, his students and other friends.
The fast started at 11 AM with the singing of National Anthem.His cause attracted supporters from various places including Gaya, Fatuha,Mokama, Barh,Darbhanga,Chhapra. A major support was lent by noted Folk Singer Devi who came with a swarm of her supporters.
Everyone criticized the University and Governor’s Office for not paying proper attention to his cause.According to sources,the reason stated for his dismissal are
1. Organizing a meeting in B N College premises without taking permission from college Authorities.
2. Renting an Official Residence while living at personal house
Devi said that it is ridiculous that he was dismissed from service on these grounds without any warnings or show cause notice. His students have played a major role in organizing this fast and lent their whole hearted support to Love Guru. In his note, Prof Matuknath emphasized that he valued democratic system more than his job and would not resort to any other means to get it back. He said to have full faith in the democracy and firmly believed that he would get justice one day.
