Story of Rowdy Rathore

Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small time conman in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn’t invited to.  Into this picture perfect world enters six year old Neha who inexplicably believes Shiva to be her dad! And if this wasn’t bad enough, Shiva also becomes the object of a series of life threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something he doesn’t.

While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva stumbles upon a deadly secret. A secret that will take him to a small town in Bihar; a town terrorized by its ruthless MLA and the mafia he controls; a town whose inhabitants’ only hope for redemption is… Shiva!

This is the first Bollywood movie in 2012 which portrays the scenes of Bihar. Last year, another  movie titled Love in Bihar portrayed the rural life of bihar.

Akshay Kumar, is returning to action after six years with “Rowdy Rathore”, because his 10-year-old son loves to see the tough side of him on screen.

The 44-year-old actor said that his son Aarav was the reason he took a break from risky roles, but the kid has grown up to become a martial arts enthusiast like his father and loves to see him in action films.

“I started picking comedy films as my child was just one year old and I didn’t want to take much risk. Now that he is grown, I can go ahead and do whatever I want to.

“My son loves action himself. He does rock-climbing, deep sea diving. He is into martial arts, but he doesn’t train under me. He has watched my comedy films but he loves the action part of me more,” Akshay told  in an interview
