Ek Tha Tiger to collect close to Rs 300 Crores in One Month

First Look of Ek Tha TigerEk Tha Tiger has collected Rs 113 Crores nett till date on Box Office which includes the sale of tickets in Multiplexes and Single Screens only.

Ek Tha Tiger had a bumper opening, with 100% occupancy at both multiplexes and single screens and it has shattered records all over by recording capacity on the widest release ever and collected around INR31.93 crore on its first day.

It fell in the single screens across India on its second day and collected around INR14.50 crore.  Ek Tha Tiger fell further on its third day and collected around INR12.12 crore (US$2.19 million) thus taken its three days total to INR57.85 crore  which is a new record for the weekend. The film showed good growth on saturday and sunday and collected a huge INR94.12 crore  in its extended five days weekend. The movie broke the first week record of Ra.One, Agneepath, Dabangg and Bodyguard in just five days.

The satellite rights of the film were sold for Rs 45 crore, while its rights of music and ringtones fetched Rs 6 crore, provided there was no much musical charm in the movie. Additionally the CD and DVD Rights would fetch over Rs 5 Crores and the amount grossed from Foreign Release Rights have not been disclosed. According to some analysts, the movie has collected  Rs 22.84 crores nett at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend and it is expected to score a total of Rs 28 crores nett in the first week.

With these figures in mind, Ek Tha Tiger would easily gross between Rs 250-300 Crores in coming one month. In the history of Bollywood no film has ever touched such  high figures.

The impact of Ek Tha Tiger on recently released movies has been negative. While Gangs of Wasseypur 2 could hardly make a break-ever, Cocktail has given up after collecting Rs 75 Crores.
