After Gehna Vashisht, Former Miss India Parvathy Omanakutan has done what people call an insult to our national flag Tiranga. In a recent photoshoot, this Malayalam Actress was seen posing in a Namaste posture to a shutterbug, wearing a mini skirt customised with national flag.

There has been a huge protest in  her home state Kerala during last couple of days. The photos started doing the rounds from Independence Day, with people calling for action against Parvathy Omanakutan

The photoshoot originally took place some months back, but this photograph went viral on Facebook couple of days ago.

Earlier model Gehna Vashisht  did a Bikini photoshoot with Tiranga and is now under judicial custody after a local MLA in Pune filed a FIR against her this act. The same MLA has also filed a case against Actor Shah Rukh Khan for  holding Tiranga upside down.

According to Indian Laws, the Flag Code shall not be used as a portion of costume or uniform of any description; and nor shall it be embroidered or printed upon cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins or any dress material.

We should not over emphasize these petty cases when we keep mum on bigger issues like corruption and Crime. Although prohibited by law, no one would intend to show disrespect to National Flag and any such incident occurs mainly due to ignorance. Thousands of people clad themselves  with Tricolor tattoos during Cricket matches, yet no one complains; but if someone, by mistake, wears a dress made of it we start making a huge hue and cry.
