Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit was hit by eggs thrown at her by irate protestors on Saturday.
Dikshit had gone to attend a function at New Mustafabad in east Delhi at about 6.30 p.m. when the incident occurred.
As she started to address the rally, the audience, made up largely by women, started to raise slogans of “Sheila Dikshit, Hai Hai” (“Fie on Sheila Dikshit”).
The women also threw eggs at the chief minister, some of which found their mark.

Earlier, Dikshit had been heckled on Friday and shown black flags by a crowd, angry over inflated electricity bills.
“There were anti-government slogans and black flags were shown to the chief minister when she was on the stage,” a police official told IANS. Dikshit then left the function midway.
Seven people, including four women, were detained but later freed, police said.
The chief minister, accompanied by Food and Supply Minister Haroon Yusuf, was inaugurating two renovated offices of the food and supply department when the incident happened.
