Man from Bihar crushed to Death by Delhi Metro Train

New Delhi: A man from Bihar was ran over by Delhi Metro Train, when he was crossing the tracks to reach another platform.

Vinod Kumar, 40, a labourer from Gaya in Bihar, jumped onto the tracks at the R.K. Ashram Marg Metro station to reach platform number two, breaching safety norms.

Earlier it was reported to be a Suicide Case.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia said the man failed to see a train pulling into the station. Before he could save himself, the train crushed him.

A police officer said earlier that the man, who had reportedly come to Delhi to meet a relative, had suddenly leaped before the train.

The death halted train services for 20 minutes at the station, affecting traffic on the metro’s Blue Line.
