CBSE to announce Results of JEE Main 2013 at 4 PM today

The Results of JEE Main 2013 would be announced by CBSE today at 4 PM on its official website. Joint Entrance Examination 2013 (JEE Main) is the single window entrance test for admission to various Engineering and Architecture Courses in the country.

The Results can be viewed by visiting the website of JEE Main jeemain.nic.in. It can also be obtained by SMS, Mobile, IVRS facility.

CBSE would announce the marks obtained by students along with their All India Ranks and State Ranks. It would also announce the list of 1,50,000 Students eligible to appear in JEE Advanced to be conducted by IIT JEE Board for admission to various courses at 13 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.

As per reports, about 10.5 lakh students sat for JEE (Main) – 9 lakh students opted for the pen-and-paper test while 1.5 lakh students took the online test.

The Rank awarded by JEE Main shall be used for admission to various Engineering courses at National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), Self Financed Deemed Universities and other Government and Autonomous Institutions.

Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad along with Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Indian Maritime University (TS Chanakya, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai campus, Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, National Maritime Academy, Chennai, Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam) also take in students on the basis of JEE Main results.
