Pallerla Sai Sandeep Reddy, a 17 year old student from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh has bagged the 1st rank in JEE Advanced 2013, the entrance for various IITs.
He wants Computer Science at IIT Bombay. But that’s for a start. “Finally I’ll take up robotics,” he says on his way to “college” (high school in Hyderabad) to celebrate. “I didn’t think I’d top before the exam but after, yes,” he says laughing. His exam went that well.
Sandeep Reddy had obtained 986/1000 marks in his Intermediate and 563/600 in High School, thus he comes among top 20 percentile holders in his Board.
He is also the topper of EAMCET 2013 Exam by scoring 154/160 marks. He had secured 311/360 in JEE Main 2013 Exam and 418/460 marks in BITST Entrance Exam 2013.
The Son of a government school teacher of social studies, Sandeep has spent many years away from home in a village near Podili town, Prakasham district, AP. He was staying in hostel in Hyderabad and had completed the entire high-school syllabus by the middle of Class 11. “That way I could devote the next year to preparation. I studied 12 hours,” he says.
Pallela Lakshmi Narasa Reddy father of Sai Sandeep Reddy said that he wants his son to pursue IIT in Mumbai campus.
Reminding that Sandeep secured first rank in Eamcet this year, he said that he is proud of his son.
He said that his desire is to see Sandeep as an IAS officer.
All India Rank 2 in JEE Advanced has been bagged by A Ravi Chandra from Andhra Pradesh. M Viswa Virinchi (also from Hyderabad), the joint topper of JEE Main has secured AIR 7.
