Patna: IGIMS Patna would start evening Out Patient Departments (OPD) from the month of October. Unlike other OPDs, Evening OPDs would wllow limited number of patients and that too on prior appointment.
The Patients coming for Evening OPDs would be provided special facilities like AC Waiting Room, AC Doctors’ Ward, Supply of Newspaper etc. The appointment for Evening OPDs must be taken a day in advance either through telephone or through Institute’s website. The Consultation Fee for evening OPD is expected to be Rs 300 and only 20 patients would be allowed per department on daily basis.
To begin with, only selected Super Speciality Department would have Evening OPDs. As per reports, this would be provided in Cardiology, Nephrology, GastroMedicince, Gastro Surgery, Urology, Neuro Medicine and Neurosurgery The facility of Pathological Tests and Minor Surgery would also provided during Evening OPDs.
Till date no other hospital in Bihar has the facility of Evening OPDs.
