Bihar Government is working to ensure at least 12 Hour Power Supply daily in all Villages and Rural Areas. According to reports in various newspapers, Â CM Nitish Kumar has asked authorities to ensure proper power supply in these areas.
The Power Supply in Bihar has improved these days
As per the plans, all the Rural Feeders have been divided into shifts of 12 Hour each during which there would be at least 8 hours of Electricity Supply.
Out of 657 rural feeders in 21 districts of North Bihar, 448 Feeders  would have the supply between 8AM to 8 PM while 209 rural feeders will have supply between 8PM to 8AM in morning.
Similarly in South Bihar, out of 681 Rural Feeders, Â 376 Feeders would have the supply during 8AM-8PM while the rest during 8PM – 8AM. In all these feeders a minimum 8 hours of supply is ensured.
These steps has been taken in wake of prevailing drought like condition in most parts of Bihar. A proper Power Supply would ensure that Agriculture Productivity is not affected much.
This is aleady in other state, please implement asap.
