Bihar expected to be hit by Cyclonic Storm Phailin

Bihar Government has geared up for the Cyclone Phailin, which has reached Bay of Bengal and is advancing towards the east coast of India. Indian Meteorological Department has issued warning to states like Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar in connection to the Cyclonic Storm Phailin.

CM Nitish Kumar had a review meeting with the officials of Disaster Management Department and IMD officials. District Magistrate in all 38 districts have been asked to monitor the situation and prepare for the unforeseen. They have been asked to educate common people about dos and don’ts at the time of cyclone. DMs would also form Teams for Relief Operations and Medical Aid.

The State Disaster Management Deptt has also warned people against staying below weak structures like Tress and Old Buildings after the onset to Cyclonic Storm.
