Indians can travel to 52 Countries without a Pre-issued Visa

Now Indians can travel to 52 Countries without a Pre-issued Visa. This includes both Visa free and Visa on arrival access. For most of them, Visitors are required to show evidence of sufficient funds to cover their stay in and hold confirmed flight tickets for their return or next destination.

This means an Indian National can visit those countries with just a valid passport and obtain the VISA once he lands in destination country.

This is in sharp contrast to Britishers who enjoy VISA on Arrival/ Visa-free Facility in as many as 173 Countries.

A Report by Henley & Partners indicates that two other countries, Sweden and Finland enjoy the VISA on Arrival Facility in 173 countries.

Most of the European Countries permit VOA among themselves, no doubt nine out of the top ten in the index are European Union countries, with the tenth being the United States.

The Report also cites Afghanistan as the country with least number of VOA facility (31 countries only).

With Exception of Nepal and Bhutan, Indians need a VISA for entry in almost all countries.

There are some countries, which however allow Visa-free access for short duration subject to certain terms and condition.

Where visa-free access is permitted, such access is not necessarily a right, and admission may technically be at the discretion of border enforcement officers. Visitors engaging in activities other than tourism, including unpaid work, may require a visa or work permit.
