NTPC Barh to start Trial Electricity Generation from this month

Patna: Giving a boost to the Bihar’s energy generation  programme, NTPC  Barh would start Trial Production from the Stage 1 and Stage 2 this month. The Commercial production is expected to commence by December this year.  This was revealed by a Senior official during CM Nitish Kumar  visit at NTPC yesterday.

The Chief Minister inspected the project construction activities and also visited Control room of Unit #4.  Speaking on the occasion, Kumar traced the history and background of his dream Barh project and said that with super-critical technology, this coal based power project shall be capable to generate 3300 MW of electricity which shall cater  to the demands of electricity starved Bihar state, where even one megawatt electricity matters.

The CM further added that unit # 4 of Stage –II of Barh project is soon going to be synchronized and shall contribute 330 MW electricity to Bihar. Kumar also congratulated NTPC Barh team for their dedication and exemplary contribution for making his dream come true.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a 33/11kV grid station at Pandarak block in Patna district yesterday.
