New Delhi: BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will contest the Lok Sabha polls from a second seat of Vadodara in Gujarat, along with Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, BJP veteran L.K. Advani will contest the Lok Sabha polls from Gandhinagar in Gujarat, the party announced Wednesday.
The decision was taken after a long meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s central election committee, which was not attended by Advani.
Reports said Advani was keen on contesting from Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal.
Olympian Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was given a ticket from Jaipur Rural while Bollywood actress Hema Malini will contest from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
Dushyant Singh, son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, will fight from Jhalawar in the state.
In Bihar, party leader Ashwini Kumar Choubey will fight from Buxar.
