Mumbai: Actress Monaz Mevawala, who has appeared in serials like Meet Mila De Rabba, was abused by an Autorickshaw Driver, at 1.30 pm, on the busy SV Road in Goregaon on Monday, April 21.
The Autowallah also damaged her Car. Luckily, Monaz was locked inside her car and with her presence of mind, she filmed the entire incident. She later booked a complaint with the Police and the accused was arrested within 2 days.
The accused has been identified as Haider Ali Abbas Ali Mobin, an auto rickshaw driver by profession who resides at Goregaon west.

Today at 1.30 pm in the afternoon while I was Going for my shoot. There was this rickshaw wala who was in front of me at the signal looking back and continuously staring at me, and then when the signal went green he didn’t let me take a left as he was still looking at me and obstructing my way. I tried to overtake him and he came charging at me and in the bargain scratched my car with his side mirror, and apparently his mirror broke.. for which he got extremely angry and followed me and removed a huge danda and tried to hit my car with it. And in his anger he told me ( AAJ TOH TUJHE BAHOT MARUNGA ) he drove ahead of me and blocked my way, ) I tried to escape but this he did 3 times, and then he approached my car from the right side and hit it with his hand and again removed the bamboo stick and hit my car. I took a u turn and he also took that u turn with me and was determined to hit me and break my car. As i was alone in the car it was impossible for me to get down and hit him back, but I used the presence of mind to click his picture. Since he was not able to harm me physically in any way he was determined to hit me so he parked his rickshaw and he came running after me. AND THIS IS WHAT HE DID . PLEASE SEE THE VIDEO OF THIS RICKSHAWALA WHO IS TRYING TO BREAK INTO MY CAR AND ALSO BREAK MY CAR . As soon as he saw that I am removing his video he got scared and ran away. I shudder at such incidences that happen everyday with girls, I was lucky that I was in my car and my car was locked. Everyday innocent girls are at a risk of being vandalised like this. Please see the video and spread this message. I am gonna go to the police and I just hope the police takes cognizance and sympathizes with me and takes action…

The latest update is that he is already caught and put behind bars. Tomorrow morning i’ll be Going to the police to identify him and then they will remand him.
