Bihar ranks above Delhi, Gujarat and Kerala in JEE Advanced 2014

Patna: Bihar has outranked the states like Delhi, Gujarat and Kerala in the number of Students qualified for prestigious JEE Advanced 2014 Examination to be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur on May 25, 2014.

While 10987 candidates from Bihar have qualified for JEE Advanced 2014, 10037 candidates from Gujarat and only 7639 candidates from Delhi qualified for it. The Sister State of Jharkhand could send only 5557 Students to JEE.

JEE Advanced 2014 is the single window entrance examination for admission to various IITs. Students who qualify JEE-Mains and are among top 20 percentile in their class 12th board examination can appear for JEE-Advanced examination. Approximately 150,000 students qualify to appear for JEE-Advanced examination.

Following IITs would offer seats on the basis of JEE Advanced Results.

IIT-Bhubaneswar, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Indore, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Madras, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Patna, IIT-Rajasthan, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-Ropar and IIT-Varanasi.

ISM Dhanbad is the only non-IIT institution which offers admission through JEE Advanced.
