New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Thursday announced a scheme to support community radio stations and allocated Rs.100 crore for the same.
â€œSo far around 400 permissions for setting up of community radio stations have been issued. To encourage the growth in this sector, a new plan scheme is being taken up with an allocation of Rs.100 crore,â€ Jaitley said in his budget speech.
â€œThis scheme would support about 600 new and existing community radio stations,â€ he said.
