According to reports, 13 people died in Kosi region and eastern part of state, while 2 were killed in South Bihar near Patna. This death toll is equivalent to ongoing flood in Jammu & Kashmir where 17 people have reportedly died.

In Southern Bihar, Nalanda, Jehanabad and Munger districts were affected while in northern Bihar, Madhubani, Darbhanga and Purnea were worst affected.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds uprooted trees, damaged houses and brought down power cables across the state. Crops of wheat and maize, which were ready for harvesting, were damaged by the unseasonal rain and wind spell in different districts. Many farmers had brought in harvesting machines to reap the crop but the rain has dampened their spirit.

The sudden rainfall in Bihar however brought the mercury down and people got relief from scorching heat. The Power Supply has also been affected.
