Saurabh Varma’s upcoming film Solid Patels is one lively adventure. Featuring RJ and voice-over artiste Kettan Singh and Shiv Pandit (of Shaitan fame), the film’s trailer has let audience both confused and curious. It’s also a pleasant surprise to see stand-up comedian Ali Asgar on the big-screen after so long.

The movie revolves around Tom and Jerry Patel who are directionless but optimistic young men. The two come up with some ridiculous schemes to make some money and end up tangled in one big web. Of course, there are certain special characters who make this web even more complicated. Stand up comedian Ali Asghar will be essaying the role of a doctor; to be specific, the lovable and eccentric Dr. Thanawala, who is a good hearted individual and is the target of one of Tom and Jerry’s cons, not once but twice!
Ali’s comic timing, Kettan and Shiv’s ‘chemistry’ coupled with a generous dose of madness will definitely take this film to the next level. Solid Patels also stars Shazahn Padamsee and Vaishali Desai who bring their own style of comedy and oomph to the plot. Solid Patels, which is directed by Saurabh Varma and produced by Raj Malik under the banner of Krian Media, releases on 24th April this year.
