The Bihar Bandh has been called under the banner of Bihar Rajya Niyojit Shikshak Sangh Morcha. The teachers would press for equal pay, timely payment of salaries and improving service conditions of contract teachers.

The Teachers have also refused to evaluate the Class 10 Board Examination Papers, due to which the results would be delayed leaving the fate of lakhs of students in jeopardy.

They have also threatened to go for an indefinite strike from May 1 if Government doesnot concedes to their demands by April 30.

Another union, Bihar Panchayat Nagar Prarambhik Shikshak Sangh has said that its members wouldnot participate in the Bandh.
