Bridge washed Away in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir due to Floods

Even as fears of flood are over and rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir has decreased, a foot over bridge was washed away In Betar Nallah in Poonch due to high water level.

With the collapse of the bridge, transport and any physical communication between the villages on either side has also collapsed.

After the recent flood threat a Special Control Room set up by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Srinagar to help people in distress arising due to rain-triggered deluge, received around 30,000 calls and messages in 5 days.

High alert has been issued by the Intelligence Bureau in Kashmir in the wake of floods in the region which can make way for intrusion of terrorists
