Police arrest one for attacking telecom tower in Kashmir

Sopore, May 31 (ANI): Police arrested an accused involved in the recent attack on a telecommunication tower in Sopore district of Jammu and Kashmir. Militants have stepped up attacks in Kashmir, targeting mobile towers and telecom shops. On May 25, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a franchise store of state-run telecom service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), in Sopore town of the state, killing one person and injuring two others. Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra, assured that the telecommunication lines would soon be restored in the state.
