T24 Tiger case: Tiger T24 to stay in rescue centre in Jaipur, next hearing on 28 May

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Thursday heard a plea that has challenged the sudden shifting of a “man-eater” tiger famously known as T24 or ‘Ustaad’ from the Ranthambore reserved forest in Rajasthan to a zoo. SC asked officials to maintain status quo. Tiger T24 will stay in the rescue centre in Jaipur. Next hearing is scheduled on 28 May. Petitioner Chandra Bhal Singh knocked the doors of SC after the Rajasthan High Court refused to give an urgent hearing to his PIL on the issue and posted it for hearing on May 28. The plea was earlier dismissed by the Delhi High Court on the ground of lack of jurisdiction.
