Shopian, May 20 (ANI): Two army personnel were injured on Wednesday in a gun battle with militants in Heff Shirmal area of Shopian district. Militants fired at a joint party of Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police when they cordoned off Lonepora village in Heff Shirmal area following a tip-off. As per reports, two top Hizbul Mujahideen commanders, who were present in the area, managed to flee. A combing operation is currently underway in the area.
