Rishikesh: Uttar Pradesh Labour minister Shahid Manzoor’s daughter Atifa Hussain (aged 24) has drowned in Ganga while bathing in the river in Rishikesh. As per reports, she had gone there for rafting along with 4 friends. However things went wrong and they were carried away by the river due to forceful current.
Somehow, he four friends were rescued by the rafting team. However, her body is yet to be taken out.
She was a medical student at Subharati University, Meerut and had gone to Rishikesh for sightseeing. Police is contemplating action against university administration.
