Patna, June 24 (ANI): In a major embarrassment for the Nitish government, the Bihar Police on Wednesday arrested JD (U) strongman Anant Singh in connection with his alleged involvement in a case of kidnapping of four persons, one of whom was later murdered, at Barh in Patna.
Earlier in a shocking move, the state government had issued transfer order of Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jitendra Rana moments after he had led a team to arrest the criminals in the case.
On Wednesday, Patna Police gave assurance of proper investigation in the case. Meanwhile, Annat Singh, has denied any involvement in the kidnapping and murder case and said he was being falsely implicated.
