BJP dismisses charges as Congress continues to demand Swaraj, Raje’s resignation

New Delhi, June 20 (ANI): BJP leaders on Saturday dismissed the charges raised by Congress questioning Union Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s involvement in the Lalit Modi row as Congress continues to demand the resignation of both the leaders. The President of Congress’ unit of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot said that the BJP has come out in support of Raje and Swaraj with a heavy heart but law has clearly been violated, thus it calls for resignation of the leaders. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Centre is not running government to oblige Congress that all their demands will be fulfilled. BJP leader MJ Akbar said that the Congress has nothing important to talk about so they are being frivolous. Meanwhile, BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that if Lalit Modi had any friendly relations with government leaders it was during UPA tenure which is why they did not take any action against Modi earlier.
