New Delhi, June 16 (ANI): BJP workers led by the party’s Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay staged a protest against the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government on Tuesday over the recent power tariff hike of six percent. Raising slogans against Kejriwal and the AAP Government, the protestors marched towards ITO. The police personnel deployed on duty used water cannons to disperse the protestors. The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) had last week approved a tariff hike of up to six percent for the three distribution companies operating in the region. The hike, which came into effect from June 15, will be applicable for the next three quarters.
