Chennai’s Bala Vidya Mandir School sacks CEO, transfers principal over discriminatory fee structure

Chennai, June 04 (ANI): The school management of the Bala Vidya Mandir has sacked CEO S S Nathan and transferred Principal Srinivasa Raghava over forcing an alleged discriminatory fee structure on students. Meanwhile, parents and teachers are staging protests outside the private school, opposing the discriminatory fee structure. According to reports, the Bala Vidya Mandir School had given parents two school fee payment options. One option was for a student to get better education and facilities if parents pay around Rs 60,000 per annum. The second option was to pay Rs.35,800 and allow students to attend only 4.5 hours of classes and about 50 extra-curricular activities and facilities such as access to the school canteen and the multimedia lab, among others.
