Chinese leader Zhang Dejiang meets PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The Prime Minister warmly recalled their meeting in Beijing on 15 May 2015 during his visit to China, and welcomed Zhang Dejiang and his delegation to India. The Prime Minister said that parliamentary exchanges are an important pillar of the bilateral relationship. He stressed on the need to broaden the foundation of India China relations by promoting exchanges between State-level legislatures as well.The Prime Minister recalled his extremely productive visit to China last month, and said that the outcomes of the visit will take the India China relationship to a new level. Zhang Dejiang said that there is a new level of interest about India in China across all sectors, including among the businesses, due to Prime Minister Modi’s visit to China and his leadership in India.
