Farmer who met Rahul Gandhi during his Punjab visit commits suicide

Dadu Majra, June 10 (ANI): The 60-year-old farmer from Punjab who had met Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi last month committed suicide on Wednesday. The farmer had last month briefed Rahul about farmers’ plight in the state. Reportedly, the deceased farmer was under debt and could not repay his loan. Gandhi had last month taken his fight for the farmers to Punjab and had even boarded a train to see the condition of farmers in the state. During his visit, Rahul said that he had come to Punjab to look at the situation of the farmers, and wanted to study the ground reality.
