Fire breaks out in hotel in UP’s Pratapgarh, 10 killed

Pratapgarh, June 19 (ANI): At least 10 people were killed and several others were injured after a massive fire broke out at a hotel in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning. Manager of Amar Ujala, Allahabad newspaper, Manoj Sharma is also among the dead people. Several fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Twelve people, who are said to be serious condition, have been rushed to a hospital in Allahabad. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav announced Rs two lakh compensation for the kin of dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Rescue operations are still underway. Further details are awaited.
