Jorhat, June 8 (ANI): Artisans and weavers from various parts of Assam got a chance to showcase their handmade products at Bisturam Baruah Hal in Jorhat. The fair was organized by the District Industrial and Commerce Centre or DICC under the department of commerce and industry, government of Assam. The main objective was to give a platform and encourage the local crafts persons. Different products like traditional attires, ornaments, cane and bamboo products, decorative items, bags and Muga (Silk) items were high on demand among the customers. The work of the local artisans was much appreciated by the visitors.
