Chhapra, June 01 (ANI): JD (U) MLA from Amnour, Krishna Kumar Singh alias Mantu Singh, has become a part of controversies after an FIR was lodged against him for allegedly demanding extortion money from the owner of a private company. Singh had reportedly threatened the owner of a private company, with dire consequences, if Rs 5 lakhs was not paid to him as extortion. A private company was engaged in setting up a power sub-station at Rasulpur village in Saran district where JD (U) MLA Mantu Singh along with his bodyguards and musclemen reached the spot. He also asked employees to stop the work till money was paid to him by owner of the company. An FIR in this connection has been registered against the leader at concerned police station. The case is under investigation and action would be taken against the JD (U) MLA if charges levelled in FIR were found to be true.
