New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Thousands of ex-servicemen went on relay huger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to protest over the delay in implementation of the ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP) scheme on Monday. The rally was organized by Indian ex-servicemen Movement (IESM). The agitation comes two weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his assurance to implement the OROP in his radio programme “Mann Ki Baat”. OROP has been a long standing demand of ex-servicemen’s associations and relates to payment of uniform pension to defence forces personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service, irrespective of their date of retirement.
