Hazaribagh, June 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid foundation stone of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. While addressing the gathering at the venue, PM Modi stressed on the need for research in the agriculture sector, stating that India is ‘desperate’ for a second green revolution. He also talked about more research in the sector and said that any such revolution cannot take place only at one place. He also stated that a revolution in agriculture can take place in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Assam. He also asked the farmers of the country to conserves water and use it for farming in a constructive way. The prime minister also talked about examining soil for better productivity.
