New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): The Ministry of Railways has changed the timings for the booking of Tatkal tickets in AC and non-AC classes, starting on Monday, in order to reduce the load on the ticketing website and booking windows. The new timing for booking tickets for AC classes is 10 am onwards on the previous day of journey from train originating station, while the timing for non-AC classes starts at 11 am. Railways will soon launch its ‘Tatkal Special’ train service, travelling on which will be dearer than on normal trains. The cash-strapped public transporter will make special trains on tatkal fares operational for certain busy routes. The Railways has also relaxed the advance reservation period for Tatkal Special trains. The advance reservation period is of a minimum 10 days and a maximum of 60 days.
